Blissful details: do you like?

Saturday, August 13

Enjoy your Saturday; Enter our first Book giveaway

Ready for a good book? ...some more inspiration?

"You must decide that there is a choice you can make, that is, whether you’re going to focus on your problems or solutions. That needs to be your absolute priority, knowing that your mood equals your vibration and that your mood, therefore, is everything!

You must decide that you will choose the best thoughts you’re capable of from wherever you’re standing. And, if you can’t, you’ll distract yourself with something else until you can. That is the commitment you must make to yourself if you want to move into having mostly positive things in your life....

You’ll find that as you do this more and more, you’ll just feel better, there will be more reasons to be happy, good memories will move into focus as bad memories fade, you’ll be connecting with people who are on your vibrational wavelength and people will want to help you!"

Indoor/Outdoor Bliss & Book Giveaways!

"I’m going to suggest just a little bit more dreaming, fantasizing, visualizing, and purposeful focus on the best things in your experience, the things you’ve put in your vibrational escrow, and a little bit more ignoring of things that have a negative effect on your mood or throw you out of your vortex of creation.

We have the complete free will to be, do or have anything we want by the power of our own focus. Isn’t a little bit of delusional behavior in order?

I think so. As often as I can I’m going to ignore bad economic indicators, prescription drug commercials, rude people, neighborhood squabbles, that the dogs have begun eating the mail when it drops through the mail slot (now I know where that check went), television news, dog hair (lots of dog hair), that our wireless Internet connection suddenly won’t go beyond my office (the new Internet CafĂ©) and that some things I want haven’t manifested yet."

As our book giveaways quickly approach, I wanted to share an excerpt of Susan's writing that resonated for me. Hope you enjoyed it and you click here to check out the giveaway-ends Monday at midnight EST.

Eye Candy for Beachy Design Lovers

Well, hello there!

Hope you are having a fabulous day, lovelies. Enjoy these beachy interiors!

I love the art, the muted colors, and the chair covers!

Could you hang out in this kitchen for a while?

Aren't the white dresser and bedding and blue chair fabulous with this view?

With this bedroom, the design would be easy...

I love the hardwood combination with the soft fabrics... especially loving the vanity right now ;)

Another cute kitchen... love the height on this sink... the right height on sinks does wonders.

Before digital life, I had the hard copy of this cover ripped out and saved since I loved it so much. Everything is perfect!
What is your favorite? I'm leaning toward the blissful bedroom.

Hope you enjoyed the vanity score I just posted about :)

Here in Miami Beach we've had record highs and it is now finally cooling off to the 80s today.

I can't get enough beach, blue, green, and great design... hope you enjoyed these lovelies.
xoxo- Miss Bliss

Shiny Happy...Lamps! (...holding hands...)

Stray Dog Elisabeth Glass Lamp: I love, love, love
the blue and green, and especially the glass base!
Murray Feiss Geo Table Lamp: almost like sculpture
or jewelry- and funky...
Regina Andrew Bird Bath Lamp: not sure I could pull it off,
but soooo cute.
Stray Dog Esme Glass Lamp:
love the clear tear drop base and green shade.
Stray Dog Frosty Glass Lamp: lovely multicolor base,
with the all important blue and green!
Stray Dog Jenny Lynn Lamp: just love this base pattern, reminiscent of Marimekko...
Stray Dog Elle Glass Lamp: dare I mention,
calling all Lilly Pulitzer Lovers!!!
Stray Dog Sara Table Lamp... just one more with the birds... like the all white feature here.

Which one is your favorite?
Do you have a favorite lamp at your house?
Maybe one with a a fun story? What is your favorite reading lamp/reading spot?

My mom has an *oversized* Tiffany style hanging light fixture,
beautiful multi-colored glass; she hung it in the family room
and it was my favorite reading spot for a long time.

*pictures from Macy's...where the lamps are on sale at the moment!

Lovely Mosaics, Part TWO

"Pinwheel Flowers"

Dragon Table Top
All of these lovely mosaics are by artist Janina, who graciously agreed for their use here. She woke up one morning, while living in Costa Rica, and felt like mosaic-ing! She had no training... what an inspiration!

My sister and I have talked about mosaic-ing for a while now, and clearly I am getting the mosaic fever! I like the idea of sea shells in them, too.

Isn't the mosaic with the Toucan "too cute"? I do think the hummingbird and butterflies are my favorites in this group, and the dragon--too cool!

If the rains hold off, Mr. Bliss and I will hit the ocean after dinner: we have salmon marinating in lime, soy sauce, ginger, cracked black pepper and sea salt.

And orange blossom honey, lest I forget. ;)

Any favorite summer dishes out there? Any creative projects brewing?

Enjoy!!!
